Five years on the other side of the class.

Karate has been a big part of my life. Alongside my own training, I taught regular and summer classes at Universal Energy Martial Arts.
Knowing it and teaching it
Being able to do a technique is one thing. Helping someone else understand it is another. Teaching made explanation and patience part of my practice, alongside the physical training.
Keep showing up
This was a regular commitment over five years, through both ongoing classes and summer programs. It’s a different kind of responsibility from finishing a project: there’s another class, and people are counting on you to be there.
